The School of African Languages is super excited to invite you down to the perfectly positioned Camberwell Library, where we will be holding our first ever African Xmas Extravaganza.
We are offering an amazing, vibrant and lively afternoon filled with activities.
Learn some Igbo, Swahili, Yoruba and Zulu with our team on hand to get the pronunciation right…
Listen to the sounds of Africa as the music sets the scene as you and your family explore Africa through play and other planned activities.
Join us for an afternoon of:
Mini african dance sessions
African food sampling provided by our catering partners
Have a seat at the create your own African print bauble workshop
Learn how to tie a headwrap and shop at our mini market
Our stall will be stocked with handmade xmas baubles, Barbara Acheampong’s awesome Pookie Dumpling books, African print material for head wraps and more…..
On top of this we need yours and the help of the children in creating an interactive community artpiece. This will be an opportunity for you to improve on your knowledge of the beautiful continent of Africa.
We invite you all to come and take part in our fun filled sessions focussed on language, culture, music and food.
