who we are
The School of African Languages

It is with immense pride and excitement that we introduce The School of African Languages, a pioneering force in the language industry and a fresh addition to the UK’s educational offering.
We are proud to have been the first organisation in the UK to offer such a comprehensive selection of African languages to the general public in this format. In doing so, we’ve paved the way for others to join this important mission.
At our core, we are committed to strengthening cultural connections across the African diaspora while nurturing a deep appreciation for Africa among non-Africans. As we launch our new programs this year, our focus remains on empowering the next generation of African leaders, equipping them with the tools of leadership, diplomacy, and cultural awareness to shape a brighter future.
Any language taught well provides benefits of global awareness and the ability to identify with other cultures..

Will I be able to speak fluently after my SOAL course?
Our courses give you a solid foundation of your target language vocab, and many common phrases. With all your course materials, sessions with your teacher and online meetups with other people learning with you. You can build your grammar and conversation confidently around this. We also have an intensive grammar module under construction, and we are producing these as fast as we can.
How long does it take to become fluent in a language?
There is no real answer for this, as it will vary from person to person, but we would suggest consistently setting 25-30 minutes a day for language learning in addition to our course, with a native speaking teacher to guide you. We can guarantee that you will definitely get you closer to that goal.
